Meet the Fellows (Video) — Danya Shults, Founder of Arq

Danya Shults, Founder of Arq

Danya is the founder of Arq and an On Being Fellow. Previously, she created the marketing and community functions at Spark Capital, was a founding employee and leader of culture and community at Skillshare, and fought for educational equality as a Director of Recruitment at Teach For America.

Danya is one of TCFS incredible alumna who have continued to create big impact since going through out Fellowship Program. Her hard work and passion for change truly represent the values of our program, and for this we would love to share more about Danya in our featured video series on our program’s past fellows who have gone on to make this world a better place.

Danya took part in TCFS’s Summer 2014 program, and according to her, the program couldn’t have come soon enough. Exhausted from 90 hour work weeks and facing a lot of self-critic, Danya made the decision to make some big changes in her life. To her pleasant surprise, coaching was exactly what she needed at that point in time.

Danya quickly learned what a coach was, as opposed to a mentor or advisor. In her video, she talks about what she learned through her experience, and how to get the best out of coaching. What did Danya find most challenging? How did ‘conditions of enoughness’ change her viewpoint? You can hear from her first-hand by watching her video above.

Congratulations on all that you have achieved, Danya!
